A Major Acquisition for the WSL Side Schüller, who has half a year remaining on her deal, is known as a prolific goal-getter for her club and the national team. She has scored more than 100 goals for the German giants and found the net 54 times in 82 appearances for her country. This signing will be seen as a major coup for the WSL team. Her exit from Munich was expected after she appeared to be holding back emotions while thanking the club's supporters following a victory over Bayer Leverkusen recently. It was reported in December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was losing one of its leading strikers. According to reports, all the paperwork for the move are now finalised. Reliable Goal Threat to Boost the Forward Line The 28-year-old’s signing should represent a significant boost to United’s attacking options. Schüller has been remarkably reliable with her finishing in Germany’s top flight. Over seven consecutive seasons, including the most recent campaign, she reached at least a double-figures tally of league goals. She won the top scorer award in the 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals. Gathering Steam at Old Trafford Securing the German international comes at a time when United appear to be gathering positive momentum. Recent on-pitch successes include securing a place in the Champions League knockout phase playoffs as a seeded team and a victory in the Conti Cup quarter-finals. In the transfer market, the mid-season window has seen further activity: The signing of Sweden defender Hanna Lundkvist on a multi-year deal. The contract extension for Japan playmaker Hinata Miyazawa, a fan favourite since joining in 2023. Regarding Miyazawa’s extension, a club official stated: “Miyazawa is now a critical component to the way we play.
